Hip Hop

Hip Hop Junior - 6 to 12 years Monday 5.15pm - 6.15pm 

Hip Hop Senior - 13 to 18 years Monday 6.15pm - 7.15pm 

$129 per term

Hip Hop teaches styles of dance performed to hip hop music, and to music styles that have developed as part of the hip hop culture.  Students will learn a variety of styles including breaking and popping, as well as developing their own unique expression through free-styling, cyphers and choreographic tasks.

What to Wear
Arms and legs need to be covered so that spinning, gliding and turning on the ground can be done without skin making contact with the floor. A long sleeved t-shirt and track pants will do the job nicely.

Please bring a water bottle along to class.

Contemporary Dance

Contemporary Junior - 9 to 12 years Wednesday 6.15pm - 7.15pm

Contemporary Senior - 13 to 18 years Thursday 5.15pm - 6.15pm

$129 per term

These classes for children and youth offer a blend of the fundamentals of contemporary dance technique, improvisation and choreography. Students will learn to move freely and to express themselves through dance-making with their classmates.

What to Wear
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in. Classes will be done in bare feet.

Dance Discovery

Dance Discovery - 6 to 8 years Saturday 10.00am - 11.00am

$129 per term

These preschool creative dance classes develop co-ordination, expression, rhythm and grace via a blend of contemporary dance, ballet and funky beats. 

What to Wear
Wear something comfortable that is easy to move in. Classes will be done in bare feet.

Tasdance classical ballet classes are delivered using the expressive AICD Borovansky Syllabus. Students can learn the fundamentals of classical ballet: grace, alignment, flexibility, strength and coordination.

FUTURE Youth Extension Program

Tasdance and Stompin partner to offer young dancers a program to extend their technique, improvisation and choreographic skills in preparation for a career in dance.

Led by Tasdance and Stompin's Artistic Directors, Adam Wheeler & Caitlin Comerford. FUTURE is your chance to further develop your contemporary dance skills in a range of techniques, improvisation and choreography. 

The workshops will be guided in a non competitive environment with a key focus to prepare you for further training in dance and put you on the right path for a wholesome career in the dance industry.
