MAKE

TASDANCE IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE IT’S NEWEST INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHOREOGRAPHIC PRACTICE IN AUSTRALIA. THIS INAUGURAL EVENT WILL CREATE A PLATFORM FOR FOCUSED GROUPS OF DANCE MAKERS TO SHARE AND EXPLORE CHOREOGRAPHIC PRACTICE

In 2018 MAKE will provide space for women and those who identify as a woman to delve deep into the art of choreography.

In response to the Turning Pointe: Gender Equality in Australian Dance paper by Andrew Westle in 2018, Tasdance will host acclaimed choreographer Jo Lloyd to facilitate five days of rigorous choreographic exploration, sharing and development.

Whether you are a recent graduate or have been making dance works for years, MAKE will be the opportunity to further and deepen your choreographic practice.

Through Lloyd’s unique interest as a dance maker, she will share her ideas around choreography, lead conservation and mentor personal pursuits in dance building and crafting.

Dates: December 10th-14th
Venue: Tasdance Studio 197 Wellington Street Launceston

Fee: Tasmanian choreographers $80
All interstate and international choreographers $190

Please note that Tasdance can not cover any travel or accommodation costs for the project.
