A CALL OUT FOR DANCE ARTISTS

COLLISION was first developed in 2021 by choreographer Jo Lloyd with Tasdance (Gabriel Comerford, Jenni Large, Amber McCartney, Kyall Shanks) and GUTS Dance (Madeleine Krenek, Frankie Snowdon), with an exceptional team of designers.

This is a rare opportunity to join the cast and work with one of Australia’s most influential choreographers to implement her practices in the performance season of COLLISION - presented at Junction Arts Festival 2022.

Twenty artists are invited to participate in a paid professional development opportunity. All artists will work with the creative team of COLLISION in preparation for this historic Tasmanian event.

WHEN: Monday 12th September to Saturday 17th September 2022

WHERE: Assembly 197/Tasdance Studio - 197 Wellington Street, Launceston lutruwita/Tasmania and QVMAG Inveresk.

FEE: Each artist will be paid a fee of $1000, plus an honorarium towards travel fees (for those coming from outside of Tasmania). Shared housing accommodation will also be covered for those who live outside of Launceston.

HOW TO APPLY: We ask all artists to fill out the form below and answer the questions either in writing or video. Please contact Bec Jones at bec@tasdance.com.au if you require any assistance.

COLLISION was originally commissioned by The Unconformity in 2021.

COLLISION has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body, and Arts Tasmania
