Damn! by Leanne Mason
This energetic trio of agile lifts, falls and jumps demonstrated the strength of the dancers. The pushing, shoving and grimacing made this a winner with young members of the audience.
Lesley Graham, Dance Australia, June/July 2000

Ina by Joel Corpuz
Corpuz has developed some beautiful, lingering images. Tender sequences give a sense of scooping and gathering, reinforcing the supporting roles of each woman.
Lesley Graham, Dance Australia, June/July 2000

Checkmate by Trisha Dunn
Checkmate is a piece, startlingly and pleasingly patterned about the inevitability of facing personal fears, and has a dramatic last moment of harsh frankness and illumination.
Wal Eastman, The Mercury, March 29th 2000

In the Storylines project, TasDance company members have worked with Carol Wellman and Chrissie Parrott, allowing these experienced choreographers and performers to mentor their choreographic development. TasDance has a very talented company of dance artists who have shown their ability to work as an ensemble and now have an opportunity to show their individuality.

Also contributing her creative input to this project is author Carmel Bird who joins the company to perform her short story Sophie was a Fish. In this special presentation of Sophie Carmel is joined by guest artist, Michael Fortescue, double bass player with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
