Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards
On Friday 22 February Tasdance was announced a winner of the 2007 Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards, one of Australia's most prestigious awards. The awards celebrate outstanding achievement in the Australian performing arts sector. Tasdance won the group award jointly with The Song Company and they both received $45,000 each. Tasdance was identified as a major contributor to the Australian Arts landscape, and was awarded on the basis of it's passion, daring and commitment to the artform.
