Fragile Matter Schools Performances (In-Theatre)

School groups are invited to attend a special schools showing of Fragile Matter at special school group prices.

About the Show

Inspired by Charlie Chaplin’s epic film The Great Dictator and created by Jukstapoz’s talented two-headed directorship Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman, Fragile Matter uses the body as metaphor for war and unity. Engaging dance, theatre and puppetry, eight extraordinary dancers rally, resist and break out with fierceness and fragility. Schools performances also feature a Q&A with the Artistic Director and dancers.

Brew Schools Performances (In-School)

Schools are invited to express an interest in Tasdance touring to their school and presenting a special in-school performance of Brew This performance is especially designed for an informal setting and can be performed in a gymnasium or school hall.

About the Show

The choreography in Brew is made by Tasdance company dancers and Artistic Director Felicity Bott. This one-hour program of short works is an informal presentation that strips back contemporary dance to its innovative and explosively physical core. The dancers from the company’s diverse ensemble are given freedom to concoct and ‘brew’, their own mad inventions. Students will be offered insight into professional dance making from inception to realisation. A Q&A session sits inside this hour.
