The Ripple Effect season was a retrospective season that highlighted some of the choreographic achievements of the past, as well as revealing the "ripple effect" or development of choreographers and their work over time. It helped the company to celebrate 21 years and onwards.

The program consisted of four works: Neil Adams, The Darkling was inspired by autumn's whirling descent into winter's stark beauty, while Anna Smith posed the question If we are all made of the same matter, all originate from the same place, what is the seed of animosity? In her new work Incandescence - white with heat.

Carl Sagan's quote was a source of inspiration for the work. "All the elements of the earth except hydrogen and some helium have been cooked by a kind of stellar alchemy billions of years ago in stars; some of which are today inconspicuous white dwarfs on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy. The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of stars.'

Sue Healey's work Seinn O! was created in 1991 and was a work created to acknowledge her Celtic ancestry, and to celebrate the past and the extraordinary dancers of this company.

Leigh Warren's amusing work Fast Yarns that was created for TasDance in 1993 was remounted and renamed Road Kill for inclusion in this program that hails the past and future for the company.
