"Passion for dance translates to music, energy on stage"
The Examiner, Monday May 17,1999

Down Pat performed in 1999 was the second of TasDance's innovative student performed productions. 13 Students were selected for in this dynamic work which was an exploration of energy through dance, music and computer animation.

TasDance, with support from their major sponsor Aurora Energy, linked the Performing Arts with Technology and provided a unique performance opportunity for talented Year 11 & 12 students from around the state.

Multimedia students from numerous colleges benefited from the inspiration of multimedia artist Lisa Roberts and developed their own two and three dimensional computer animations. Their work was extraordinary in its originality and versatility. Selections of their work were projected as part of the performance, and those interested in the new technologies were encouraged to see the work of these highly creative young people.

Launceston student composer Myles Mumford composed the score for part of the production and choreographer, Jay Watson pulled it all together to create a multimedia dance work, brimming with energy.
